Referees

Referees are required to report all disciplinary actions to the tournament officials at which time tournament officials will impose the penalties stated herein:

1. A coach that has been “sent-off” is not allowed to be present at their next scheduled game. Depending upon the severity of the offense, further disciplinary actions may be imposed by the tournament disciplinary committee.

2. Any red card send-off (other than on account of receiving two cautions in the same game) will require at minimum a one game sit out. Depending on the severity of the offense further disciplinary actions may be imposed by the tournament disciplinary committee. When ejected from a game, players must immediately leave the soccer complex or go to the pavilion with a parent or responsible adult.

3. Any player receiving 3 yellow cards during the tournament will sit out the game following the game in which the 3rd yellow was issued. Failure to sit out the required games may result in additional suspensions as imposed by the tournament disciplinary committee.

ALL SIT OUTS REQUIRE A SIGNED SIT OUT FORM SIGNED BY REFEREE OF GAME THAT IS BEING SAT OUT.

The tournament will use only USSF Registered Referees & Assistant Referees. All referee decisions are final. No protests will be allowed, except in the case of the participation of an ineligible player.

Any protest must be reported in writing with either a $250.00 cashier’s check, money order or cash deposit and must be presented to the tournament director before the contested game ends. The tournament will then decide on the disposition of the protest. Only protest considered is that of an ineligible player.

IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, only the tournament director or his designate will determine if a game is to be played or continued. Except for weather conditions or the lack of adequate lighting conditions to safely conduct the play of the game, once the game has been started, only the referee has the authority to discontinue the play of the game. If a game is stopped short before the game is completed for reasons other than acts on part of one or both of the teams playing, the game shall be considered complete. The score at the stoppage of play will be the score. If the first half of the game has not been completed and the game is stopped, a suitable conclusion will be reached either by a reschedule of the game (from the time the game was stopped) or penalty kicks (time and weather permitting) and ONLY if it affects the outcome of the tournament. In the event of inclement weather, Act of God, or other circumstances or conditions that are beyond our control, the tournament director has the authority to restructure or cancel the tournament. If the tournament is canceled before the completion of the preliminary rounds of play, no winner will be declared.

ANY SITUATION OR QUESTION on the rules of the tournament that are not covered herein will be governed by NTSSA and USYSA Rules books in that order. The director shall determine any matters not provided for in those rules. The decision of the tournament director is final.
