We had two teams from West
Texas win the North Texas President's Cup. They will
be representing NTSSA and West Texas at Nationals in
Delaware.

Continuing their winning ways after winning the San
Angelo Summer Fun Tournament the U-9 MSA Sharks won
the Championship match defeating the Midland Tornadoes
4-1. The MSA Tornadoes came in second, with the MSA
Santos finishing in 4th place.
My
little guy, Andrew Moore, playing up from the U-8
division had an excellent tournament as a guest player
for the Sharks scoring 5 goals and serving up 3
assists. He scored 2 goals and had an assist in the
Championship match. Funny thing was both the
Tornadoes and the
Santos
asked him to be a guest player for their team, but the
Sharks asked first!
In
the U-12 Boys Division MSA was also well represented
as the U-12 COED Icebreakers finished 3rd and the COED
Chaos finished 4th. I liked the fact that the
Lubbock
tournament recognized the final four teams with
trophies instead of just the top three finishers.

MSA U-9 Boys Sharks Team takes 1st Place in
Lubbock West Texas Invitational Cup
The MSA U-9 Sharks boys
soccer team coached by Stephanie Pederson won 1st
place at the Lubbock West Texas Invitational Cup over
the Memorial Day Weekend. The U-9 Boys Sharks were
represented by their regular roster players: Blake
Carter, Jaime Dominquez, Carlos Galindo, Chase
Pederson, Isaiah Cadena, Nathan Castro, Aaron Granado,
Adrian Rios, Isaac Castillo plus guest players Edward
Dominquez, Andrew Moore and Luis Aranda.

The MSA U12 COED Team,
Coached by Tristan Garcia, Bobby Sumners and Jaime
Salgado, after finishing 3rd in the Odessa West Texas
Blow Out Tournament kicked it up a notch and earned
second place in the U-12 Boys Division of the San
Angelo 2008 Summer Fun Tournament. The boys and girls
of the MSA Chaos played the San Angelo Bombers U-12
Boys Team really strong, taking the match to the final
minute of the second overtime before giving up what
turned out to be the winning goal for the Bombers. The
Chaos Boys and Girls will be competing in the Lubbock
West Texas Invitational Cup Memorial Day Weekend May
23-25th.

The MSA U-9 Sharks coached
by Stephanie Pederson went undefeated at the San Angelo
2008 Summer Fun Tournament and brought the 1st place
trophy back to Midland for the U-9 Division. The Sharks
were represented
by their regular team roster plus guest players Edward
Dominquez and Andrew Moore.
